8 Dingo 2017
Round 15 U8 Dingoes v Kellyville Utd, Win 3-0
great goals from Liam x 2 and Sebbie.POM - Rocco
8 Dingoes v Hills Knights Loss 0-1
It was clear on arrival that the opposition was a well kitted out academy team but the Baulko Dingo B’s weren’t to be intimidated. With Harry in goal, the reliable defence of Murray and regular go-to man Marley (8 rabbits), Baulko B held their own with a clean sheet in the first half.
The 2nd half saw crowd favourite, Hamish (8 rabbits) playing midfield alongside the fancy footed Dylan. The boys made some great passes up the field through to Liam and Harry who were giving it their all in an attempt to see some points on the board.
The visitors managed to get one ball behind a dedicated goalkeeper Sebbie, midway through the second half but it was the only joy Sebbie would allow, holding off their many more attempts for the rest of the match.
The long hard training regime of the strong academy side shone through on the day and maybe at this weeks training, an extra 5mins of fun can be thrown in to help Dingo Bs prepare for their next game. The fancy feet were too hard to miss, earning Dylan player of the match.
Close Local Derby
U8 Dingoes v Baulko A, Round 13, Loss 0-1
It was the Baulko derby this weekend, and both teams were prepped and ready to go from the off. Murray started well in goals as he had plenty of shots coming his way. Oscar was commanding the midfield and getting through balls up to Liam and Harry in attack. on-loan super defender Marley made some fantastic challenges to keep the score at 0-0. Joined in defence by Sebbie, who was in the wars again but soldiered through. Dylan showed the crowd his step-overs and finished it off with some lovely play through the midfield. Just before half time the Dingo Bs were unlucky to concede, and that proved to be the only goal of the game. With Oscar keeping a clean sheet in the 2nd half, whilst also getting tangled in the nets. Murray came out to boss the midfield and duly collected the MOM award this week. Try as they might Harry and Liam couldn’t find the goal this week, not through lack of trying. Another great performance from the team in a close game that could have gone either way.
Rocks in Great Form
8 Dingoes v North Rocks 13/05/17
Quite a large crowd made the short trip to watch the Dingoes take on a high flying North Rocks side, and they weren’t disappointed. All Baulko boys gave 110% in the first half that saw Murray and Dylan keep it tight at the back, whilst Harry in goals fended off the shots. Sebastian and Liam were taking care of business in the middle of the park and Liam got his just rewards with the only Baulko goal of the game. With the help of some fine work from Oscar and Rocco up top, it was a tight game. On another day it could’ve been all the Kookas way, however this Rocks team were in great form. Dylan took home the player of the week trophy with a fine performance. If there was a trophy for effort they would have had to split it in 7 this week.
Keep up the great work boys and the results will
Scoreline No Reflection
8 Dingoes v Rouse Hill Rams 06/05/17
After promotion to Div Dingo, the team formerly known as Echidnas knew they were in for a tough game. The home side had only conceded once at fortress Ted Horwood this season, and this tight defence continued in Rd 5. Murray and Timmy got off to a good start making some last ditch challenges to keep the score at 0-0. There wasn’t much they could do about the opening goal though, as Rouse Hill took the lead. This was closely followed by a 2nd goal and Baulko were 2-0 down at half time, despite it being a very even game.
During the 2nd half Baulko came close to scoring with some
great work from both Dylan and Liam, putting Harry through on goal, where the
keeper pulled out a top drawer save. Oscar in the Baulko nets equally pulled
off some fantastic saves. Sebastian made some fantastic mazy runs, and was duly
awarded player of the week. Final score was a 3-0 loss, but the scoreline
didn’t reflect a truly close game and great performance from Baulko.
Early Lead Disappears

After a solid start to the match with some good passing among the team we took an early lead via a great strike from Nicholas. Then we seemed to lose our positions and that let the other team fight back with a number of shots on goal. Thanks to some superb saves from Vincent in goals the opposition only led at half time 3-1, which could have been a lot more. In the second half we seemed to create a number of great chances only to be denied by their goalkeeper. Another great finish from Liam closed the gap and saw us get back into the match. Super quick reflexes from Paul standing in between the posts in the second half and Zachary holding them out in the defense, the spectators were kept on the edge of their seats. Unfortunately due to no training sessions to date, our boys tired and the Kellyville team found a way to slot another 3 goals past us late in the half sealing their victory. Good effort by all the team.
