Awesome Form Reversal

U8 Wallabies v Kolts Loss 1-5

Last time we met the Colts it was the 1st game of the season and after a strong defeat (13-nil) the Kolts thought they were up for an easy game this week... but boy were they wrong! Our lads were in fine form this time around and clearly the training and team work has been paying off.

Aaron was in goals and on fire, making some great saves against the early attack by the Kolts. Then it was time for our boys return serve…Ajay was not holding back and made some great tackles, changing the ball direction so that Lachlan and Isaac were in great positions to try and score. After coming so close a few times our boys were unlucky not to score with Lachlan even hitting the post!

Despite some great defense by all the boys including Jarrod and Krishau, the Kolts kept the pressure on and were up 3-nil at half time.

In the 2nd half Blake scored a great goal to get the Wallabies on the scoreboard…this spurred our boys on with some more great attack from Tyler, Lachie and Isaac who were unlucky not to score. What an all round great effort by our boys, keeping the score line to 5-1 to the Kolts at full time!

A Little Unlucky

U8 Wallabies v Knights Loss 2-4

After a rained out round last week and a good training session in the lead up to this week’s match the U8’s Wallabies hit the field fresh and ready to play. The knights were down on numbers initially, so a few of our boys had to help them out, with Aaron even scoring a nice goal for them early on. After some good lead up work by Isaac, Ajay scored a great goal to even the scores up. The rest of the Hills team arrived so it was good to get Aaron back in the squad. After some great defense on the field from Lachlan and Ewan and some good saves from Jarrod in goal the scores were still locked up, until Tyler put the ball in the net to put the Wallabies one up!

Blake, Ewan and Krish were doing a great job moving the ball forward and Lachlan was unlucky not to score this week after coming close on a few occasions. The 2nd half was a great effort defensively from the boys but unfortunately the Hills knights scored a few quick goals and eventually took the game 4-2. Better luck next week lads!!

Great Commitment

8 Wallabies v Kenthurst 06/05/17

The U8’s Wallabies have been working hard for Chris in training and boy is it beginning to pay off. After a few tough matches earlier this season, the boys have really found their feet and were riding high off their victory last week. They were closely matched against Kenthurst this week and the crowd were in for a real nail-biter. Blake, Ewan and Isaac showed great confidence early on, making strong tackles and some much needed breaks up the field. Despite a few quick goals against them in the 2nd half, Lachlan, Ajay, Jarrod and Aaron continued to keep the pressure on with some great stuff in attack and it was only a matter of time before they scored with Tyler finally getting them on the scoreboard late in the 2nd half. Krishau joined the team this week and proved himself a valuable player in goal. Unfortunately the final score gave Kenthurst the victory this week but if the Wallabies continue to show this commitment in the future they will be a formidable team.

Player of the Match was Blake, well done!!
